2023 began with a great new opportunity for Tees Valley – another round of Tees Valley Nature Partnership community grants!
The scheme, now in it’s fourth year, aims to spotlight and uplift local community groups that help prioritise people and nature and may not have the opportunity to benefit from other financial initiatives. When applications opened, TVNP received a record number of applications from groups stretching right throughout Tees Valley all with fantastic ideas to refocus and recover nature.
Though initially only have £10,000 to award groups in the area, the Tees Valley Nature Partnership ended up awarding £15,000 combined to 12 local groups. This incredible result reminds us all here in Tees Valley just how much work is being put in working for nature. It is an incredible demonstration of the community spirit and drive present here and is a pride to the region.
