Natural England, Teesside University, and Tees Valley Nature Partnership are collaborating on the “Nature Counts” project, which aims to understand how natural capital insights on health can lead to positive change for people and nature within Tees Valley.
We know that there are substantial links between nature and health. With our partners, we have been investigating how best to use this information to power positive change. We want this project to:
1. Review natural capital data logic chains to support decision making.
2. Gather insights and other qualitative data on access to natural spaces via interviews, surveys, and workshops with Tees Valley residents.
3. Use these findings to identify options for further work and collaborations for people and nature.
Learnings from this project will be shared here upon project completion.
