This year, we are absolutely thrilled to announce the return of our annual Tees Nature conference coming June 30th – in person for the first time since the COVID pandemic. With excusive use of the Darlington Hippodrome for the day, this conference is aiming to centre Tees Nature on a scale previously unseen, while generating the energy, creativity and inspiration needed to achieve nature recovery across the area.
The day promises to feature engaging discussions – kicking off with interviews from our keynote speakers, Dr M.E. Bradshaw and Tristan (‘Enviro-kid’) Anderson, followed by a packed morning schedule of presentations from a number of key partners. Then, after lunch, there will be the opportunity to visit stalls set up across the venue, showcasing the wealth of the natural world right in the Tees Valley. There will also be the opportunity to attend workshops held by a variety of partner organisations – tackling everything from arts and culture to nature and health.
Situated in the heart of Darlington, the Hippodrome has enabled the conference to grow into a must-see, dubbed the nature event of the year for our region. It is also a cultural epi-centre and mere minutes away from Darlington station, meaning accessibility is wildly available to all.
For those sadly unable to attend in person, a live-stream broadcast means that everyone can tune in wherever they are. This will be hosted by TVNP and other partners, with more info on that to follow.
We hope you are as excited as we are!
